To participate in the Co-Op program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Completed at least one year of a Bachelor's degree in the following:
- Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Administrative (Accounting, Business, Finance, Human Resources, etc.)
- Information Technology or Related Field
- Two-to-Four year Bachelor's in Engineering Technology
- Other Bachelor's degrees are welcome to apply; however, rejection is at the discretion of WVDOT.
Be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours) the semester preceding and succeeding the period for which you are applying.
Have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA.
Have a valid driver's license.
About the Position
These positions are classified as temporary full-time employees, and are not eligible for benefits such as insurance, retirement, paid leave, etc. Co-Ops may only be employed for a maximum of four months per work session. Compensation is based on number of semester hours completed towards a degree and the number of Co-Ops previously worked; range is $2,253.33 - $3,206.67/month.
